Qu’est-ce qu’il fait ?
Spring is still a few weeks away, but the daffodils are already here.
Sheep actually don’t eat daffodils: They let these lovely flowers grow without the slightest nibble!
That being said, they do an excellent job trimming up the grass around them?
And here’s ‘TitCadeau, my beautiful Ouessant ram (100% St. Symphorien, born in 2020), taking a stroll through the daffodils.
D’ici quelques semaines le printemps arrive, mais les jonquilles sont déjà là.
En fait, les moutons ne mangent pas de jonquilles : ils laissent pousser ces jolies fleurs sans le moindre grignotage !
Ceci dit, ils font un excellent travail en tondant l’herbe autour d’eux ?
Et voici ‘TitCadeau, mon beau bélier Ouessant (100% Saint-Symphorien, né en 2020), en balade dans les jonquilles.

In many respects ‘TitCadeau represents the genetic foundation of my flock and my work on the St. Symphorien conservation line of Ouessant Sheep.
This is particularly true now, since I have lost both Caramel in 2020 and ‘TitBijou in 2022.
Even though ‘TitCadeau is an important member of my flock, he wasn’t used for breeding this year.
À bien des égards, ‘TitCadeau représente la base génétique de mon troupeau où je travaille sur la lignée Saint-Symphorien chez le mouton d’Ouessant.

‘TitCadeau has the most wonderful primitive fleece, which is typical of the St. Symphorien line of Ouesssant Sheep.
‘TitCadeau is intense black and displays the darkening modifier.
He also displays quite a bit of age-greying, much like his mother, Maïa. This is very common in the St. Symphorien line.
‘TitCadeau has been particularly blessed when it comes to age-greying, unlike Briscoe, who did not display any age-greying at all.
‘TitCadeau possède la plus belle toison primitive, qui est typique chez les moutons d’Ouesssant de la lignée Saint-Symphorien.
‘TitCadeau est d’un noir intense et affiche le modificateur d’assombrissement.
Il affiche également un certain grisonnement avec l’âge, un peu comme sa mère, Maïa.
C’est très fréquent dans la lignée Saint-Symphorien.
