De la Toison au Tricot n° 73 : Sorti du bain de teinture
Even though I love naturally colored wool, I have to admit that I’m often tempted to dye yarn, particularly when I have a special project in mind.
The skein of wool that I spun from the fleece of Castille was just beautiful. That being said, this wool will be used for a special project that requires a different color.
Même si j’aime bien la laine aux couleurs naturelles, il faut avouer que la teinture m’appelle souvent, surtout quand j’ai un projet particulier à réaliser.
L’écheveau de laine filé à partir de la toison de Castille était très beau … pourtant, pour le projet auquel il est destiné, une autre couleur s’imposait.
Here’s the skein of wool from Castille, after being taken out of the dye pot … with some silver-lined “tanzanite” beads. Just what it takes to make a pretty little something !
Voilà l’écheveau de laine de Castille, sorti du bain de teinture … avec des perles de couleur “tanzanite”. …de quoi faire quelque chose de joli !
