De la Toison au Tricot n° 185 : Ça se retord !

I’ve already spun a few bobbins of this lovely pink-beige-brown blend.

But now I’m faced with a bit of a dilemma !

What am I going to ply this yarn with ?

Obviously, you can always ply two identical yarns together. But you can also choose to ply two different yarns together.

For this variegated yarn, I decided to use a solid beige yarn, spun from the same beige wool that I used in the pink-beige-brown blend.

J’ai déjà filé quelques bobines de ce joli mélange rose-beige-brun.

Pourtant une question se pose !
Quel fil utiliser pour retordre ?

Évidemment, tu peux toujours retordre sur le même fil. Mais tu peux aussi choisir de retordre deux fils différents ensemble.

Pour ce fil panaché, j’ai décidé d’utiliser un fil beige uni : cette laine beige fait partie des fibres qui comprennent le mélange rose-beige-brun.

I really think that this choice works really well.

Effectivement, je trouve que ce choix de fil marche très bien.

The result is a lovely speckled yarn that reminds me of granite.

Le fil moucheté qui en résulte est très beau … il me fait penser au granite.

Now, all I need to do is find a project worthy of this lovely skein of yarn !
