De la Toison au Tricot n° 133 : Travailler la soie mawata sur la planche à mélanger For the past few week I’ve been having fun making rolags on my blending board. I really wanted to experiment a little with my pretty mawata silk hankies and white Ouessant wool....

Welcome
Hello ! My name is Diane and I live in Normandy (France).
I'm an avid spinner and knitter, and the proud owner of a small flock of Ouessant sheep.
Come and join me as I share my hand spun yarns, woolly tales and sheepish musings !
Bienvenue
Bonjour !
Just getting started on these lovely slippers.
The «Little Farm Strikketøfler» is designed by Patricia at @p4chen for the Knitography Farm Holiday Charity MAL.
I'm using Gammelserie in Natural and Copper Red.
So far so good!

As always, I’m looking for ways to not only use my woven bands but also to use my loom waste.
I’ve just finished wet felting 4 pairs of mittens, all with Ouessant wool: 3 are trimmed with woven bands, a bit of snørd, and mini-pompoms; the 4th pair of mittens are decorated with cut up bits of loom waste that has been felted into the mittens and multi-colored pompoms.
I’m quite pleased with the results.
These should make some lovely Christmas presents.
