Adult Ouessant Rams
Since the end of August, the adult rams have happily been living the bachelor’s life far away from the ewes.
I’ve chosen 3 lucky boys out of this group of rams to put together 3 different breeding groups.
Depuis la fin du mois d’août, les béliers adultes vivent joyeusement la vie de célibataire loin des brebis.
J’en ai choisi 3 chanceux parmi ce groupe de béliers pour en faire 3 groupes de reproduction différents.
'Tit Cadeau -- 100% St. Symphorien -- Black Ouessant Ram
First, I decided to use ‘TitCadeau, a black Ouessant ram.
He is 100% St. Symphorien and as such he is a key breeding ram in my conservation work on the St. Symphorien line of Ouessant sheep.
He’s a beautiful ram: Last year he produced a number of lovely lambs for me.
This year, he will cover 11 ewes.
Tout d’abord, j’ai décidé d’utiliser ‘TitCadeau, bélier Ouessant noir.
Il est 100% Saint-Symphorien et en tant que tel, il est un reproducteur clé dans mon travail de conservation sur la lignée Saint-Symphorien chez le mouton d’Ouessant.
C’est un beau bélier et l’année dernière il m’a produit un certain nombre de beaux agneaux.
Cette année, il couvrira 11 brebis.
Rabbit -- 45% St. Symphorien -- Brown Ouessant Ram
I’ll be using Rabbit, a brown Ouessant ram for the first time this year.
He’s a stunning ram: Quite small, with beautiful confirmation.
He’ll be covering a total of 19 ewes. So, I expect to have a certain number of brown lambs born this year.
Je vais utiliser Rabbit, bélier Ouessant brun, pour la première fois cette année.
C’est un bélier magnifique : assez petit, avec une très belle confirmation.
Il couvrira 19 brebis. Bref, j’attends la naissance d’un certain nombre d’agneaux bruns cette année.
Cooper -- 100% St. Symphorien -- White Ouessant Ram
Finally, I’ll be using Cooper, a white Ouessant ram, for the first time this year.
Cooper is 100% St. Symphorien. He doesn’t have the best set of horns, but he certainly has other qualities.
He will be covering 3 ewes. In the above photo you can see him with the beautiful Daisy.
Finalement, je vais utiliser Cooper, bélier Ouessant blanc, pour la première fois cette année.
Cooper est 100% St. Symphorien. Certes, il n’a pas le meilleur cornage, mais il a quand-même, d’autres qualités.
Il couvrira 3 brebis. Sur la photo ci-dessus, vous pouvez le voir avec la belle Daisy.
