Ouessant : Quelques Choix à Recommander !

We spent 3 days and 3 nights on the Island of Ushant (Ouessant), the ancestral homeland of Ouessant sheep. What a joy to be able to visit this island off the coast of Britany.

For those of you who are thinking about visiting the Island of Ushant, allow me to share a few recommendations.

First, our visit to the island was made even more enjoyable thanks to the warm welcome we received from Michelle and Frank Peyrat at Peinar’land.

Nous avons passés 3 jours et 3 nuits sur l’île d’Ouessant, terre ancestrale du mouton d’ouessant. Quelle joie de pouvoir visiter cet île au large de la Bretagne.

Pour ceux qui songent à y aller … permettez-moi de vous faire part de quelques choix à recommander.

D’abord, notre séjour sur l’île a été rendu très sympathique par l’accueil chaleureux de Michelle et Frank Peyrat de Peinar’land.

Just wonderful …a room overlooking the ocean …a lovely garden …… and let’s not forget the wonderful coffee and Michelle’s homemade jams for breakfast. Everthing was really wonderful! So a big “thank you” goes out to Michelle and Frank for going out of their way to ensure a lovely stay on the island.

We visited the island on our bikes … and honestly, we ended up with quite an appetite ! So, after having tried out a number of crêperies on the island, we would recommend the traditional buckwheat ‘galettes’ at Chez Carole.

Que c’est magnifique … une chambre avec vue sur la mer … un joli jardin …… sans oublier le bon café et les confitures maison de Michelle pour le petit-déjeuner. C’était vraiment extra! Alors, un grand merci à Michelle et Frank qui ont tout fait pour nous assurer un bon séjour sur l’île.

Nous avons visité l’île à vélo … et franchement ça donne de l’appétit! Alors, après avoir essayé quelques crêperies sur l’île, nous vous recommandons les galettes de blé noir de Chez Carole.
