Faire le point & relance !
It’s hard to believe that it’s already 2021.
2020 was a rather difficult year for the Spinning Shepherd : between a lockdown due to the pandemic, a few minor health problems, and some big computer problems !
In other words, I don’t need another year like that !
But here we are in 2021.
A new year full of promise and possibilities.
To start the new year out right, I got out my blending board and made some beautiful rolags.
C’est difficile de croire que nous sommes déjà en 2021.
2020 fut une année assez pénible chez la Bergère Filandière : entre confinement dû à la crise sanitaire, quelques petits ennuis de santé, et de gros problèmes informatiques !
Bref. Ce fut plutôt une année à ne pas répéter !
Mais nous voilà arrivé en 2021.
Une nouvelle année se présente avec toutes ses promesses et toutes ses possibilités.
Pour commencer l’année en beauté, j’ai sorti ma planche à mélanger pour faire de beaux rolags.
To be quite honest, rolags made on the blending board are really very beautiful, right to the very end …
À vrai dire, les mélanges qu’on fait sur la planche sont exquis, jusqu’au bout …
I’ve already spun my first bobbin and it’s looking good !
J’ai déjà filé ma première bobine et ça s’annonce bien !

I can’t agree more ! Very difficult year for all of us …
but there is truly something very soothing, calming and satisfying
about working with wool and creating beautiful warm knitwear.

I have missed you, so glad you are back. I have not been going a blog often. The pandemic has brought us farmers and spinning so much additional work. You spinning is beautiful. I hope to be able to teach a Spinning class this summer I have missed passing along this wonderful, creative craft.

I have to confess that I’m still
learning my way around WordPress.
I’ve built the site from scratch, all by myself.
The learning curve has been pretty steep ….
in other words, since I’m not an IT person,
there’s a lot of things that are not running
as smoothly as they should. (for example,
I need to figure out how to get the
contact messages into my inbox)
complicated stuff this web site business!
